Yoga & Tarot    This workshop will offer a vinyasa spiritual practice for both beginners and experienced yogis. Tarot cards and other divination decks will be used to ground the class in a collective theme and students will be able to choose their oracle cards at the beginning of class to inspire their practice. Raina offers variations and modifications for yoga students that fit unique bodies and abilities, along with hands-on assists and energy work. This workshop can be tailored to fit many different spaces or groups; or be offered as a weekly series. 

Yoga & Memoir Writing    Bodies often need movement to sustain a writing practice. Movement also allows us to conjure memories and narratives hidden in our physical body. In this workshop, writers will join other writers and practice gentle yoga while exploring personal narrative writing exercises. Writers will have ample quiet time to dive into their own writing practice and also share with others. Movement breaks and stretching will happen throughout our time together. Raina offers variations and modifications for yoga students that fit unique bodies and abilities, along with hands-on assists and energy work. This workshop can be tailored to fit many different spaces or groups; or be offered as a weekly series. It may also be used to teach fiction writing and character development. 

Queer Yoga     This workshop will offer a vinyasa practice for anyone who has felt like they don't fit in a mainstream yoga class. With a focus on queer and genderqueer bodies, we'll embraces all gender expressions, sexualities, body sizes, ages, and abilities. We will work with breath, movement, strength, and relaxation in a non-judgmental space. An emphasis will be placed on releasing toxins present in the body due to bias/prejudices that LGBTQ bodies experience. Raina offers variations and modifications for yoga students that fit unique bodies and abilities, along with hands-on assists and energy work. This workshop can be tailored to fit many different spaces or groups;or be offered as a weekly series. 

Young Yogis    This workshop will offer student groups a chance to learn basic asana and sanskrit in a fun, playful environment. Students will learn a Surya Namaskar routine by practicing it repetitively and teaching it to other students. We'll practice breathing techniques for relaxation and do a meditation involving the colors of the chakras. For longer workshops, students will make meditation jars and receive instructions to set up their yoga altar spaces or, "cool down" spaces at home. This workshop can be tailored to fit different age groups.
